AR-2 Coyote stealth-nerfed via enemy resistance changes not listed in patch notes

Patch 4.1.0 increased enemy fire resistance by approximately 20% across most Terminid and Automaton units. This was not documented in the patch notes. The AR-2 Coyote — the most-used AR — now requires three shots to trigger fire status on a Warrior instead of two. During the developer livestream for that patch, developers joked on camera that the Coyote 'wasn't nerfed' and wasn't in the notes, while having already shipped the indirect nerf via enemy stat changes.

BALANCE⧗ PARTIALLY ADDRESSED · MACHINERY OF OPPRESSION: 6.3.0

Oshaune D10 is a statistical outlier in mission difficulty — never balanced after Illuminate return

The planet Oshaune hosts the only tri-faction operation available on Difficulty 10. Its mission pool combines Illuminate Overseer command towers with Automaton Strider patrols in a map layout with no natural chokepoints, producing enemy density and aggression that community testing puts approximately 2.3× the median Difficulty 10 completion rate. The Illuminate faction returned in Patch 6.1.0 (March 2026) and Oshaune was not rebalanced as part of that release. No subsequent patch has addressed the spawn table. It is an outlier that has never been formally acknowledged in any patch notes.

CRITICAL BUG⧗ PARTIALLY ADDRESSED · MACHINERY OF OPPRESSION: 6.3.0

Reload failures, unresponsive input, and getting stuck in water break core moment-to-moment play

Players report frequent reload actions that silently fail, input that stops responding mid-fight, and characters becoming stuck in water terrain. These are not edge cases — they interrupt the core gunplay loop and cost runs at high difficulty where a single dropped input is fatal.

Add Exosuit and mech customization — modular weapon arms and swappable armor abilities

Exosuits and mechs ship in fixed configurations with no customisation. There is no way to mix weapon arms or tailor a mech to a playstyle, which leaves a high-potential system shallow and gives capped players nothing to invest in.

QOL

Warbond-locked and req-unlocked items are visually identical, creating persistent new player confusion

When a player opens the Ship Management terminal or stratagem selection screen, items locked behind an unpurchased warbond look identical to items unlocked through requisition slips. Both display a padlock. Both offer no tooltip, label, or icon explaining why the item is locked or what currency or system is required to access it.

Community-funded ship upgrades through the Galactic War

Every new warbond, every new subfaction, every new specialised stratagem makes the gap between a fresh player and a veteran wider. And the game gives you no way to close that gap together. Your squad can carry you through a mission but they cannot help you unlock the tools to actually pull your weight. Progression is completely solo in a game that is built around cooperation. That contradiction gets worse every season, not better.

CRITICAL BUG

Stratagems bounce and scatter off slopes, terrain edges, and geometry instead of landing where thrown

Thrown stratagems — eagles, orbitals, support weapons — frequently deflect off mild terrain slopes, rock edges, and geometry instead of landing at the targeted position. The result is unpredictable scatter: a 500kg lands behind the squad, an orbital hits a rock wall, a supply pack slides down a hill and deploys out of reach. This is most pronounced on elevated terrain and near any vertical surface. At high difficulty where stratagem placement is fight-critical, a 20% scatter rate on flat-looking ground is effectively a miss tax that has nothing to do with skill.

Honor the Promise to Bring Back Past Timed-Exclusive Items

Arrowhead stated during an official livestream that they intend to bring back past time-exclusive items such as the Pre-Order armors, Creek Cape, Golden Eagle armor, and similar rewards, saying it was a matter of "when" rather than "if", while working on implementation. More than a year later, these items remain inaccessible to players who joined after their availability window. This creates unnecessary FOMO and prevents newer players from obtaining cosmetics the developers acknowledged should return. The issue is not that these items were originally limited, but the announced plan has seen no visible progress. Many players have supported Helldivers 2 expecting this commitment to be fulfilled. Expected behavior: Past timed-exclusive cosmetics become obtainable through a fair implementation, as stated by ArrowHead. Actual behavior: Past timed-exclusive cosmetics remain unobtainable, with no implemented system. Source: www.youtube.com/live/SUaigvJcXWk?si=5YalPySmBhFtlaTz&t=1230
